Power up Breakfast

At Windansea Recovery, we believe that a healthy body supports a healthy mind. Each day begins at 8:00 AM with our clients preparing their own breakfast, fostering a sense of independence and responsibility.

We emphasize the importance of nutritious eating, encouraging our clients to make conscious choices that nourish their bodies. This daily ritual not only promotes physical well-being but also sets a positive tone for the day ahead, laying the foundation for personal growth and recovery

Morning Meditation

Starting the day with purpose makes all the difference. Our group facilitator guides us through setting meaningful intentions for the day ahead. We share our goals and support each other in a space of complete acceptance.

Being able to vocalize what I want to accomplish helps me stay focused and accountable throughout my time here. The encouragement from both staff and peers reminds me I’m not alone in this journey.

Outdoor Holistic Activity

At 10:00 AM, clients at Windansea Recovery dive into an invigorating surf therapy session led by our experienced ex-professional surfer coach. This unique approach harnesses the therapeutic benefits of the ocean, promoting not only physical fitness but also mental resilience and connection with nature.

On days when surf therapy isn’t scheduled, clients can look forward to alternative activities designed to enhance their well-being, such as personalized gym sessions with a dedicated trainer, scenic beach walks, or invigorating hikes through the beautiful hills of La Jolla. These activities encourage a sense of adventure and community while fostering overall health and personal growth in a supportive environment.

Group Therapy

At 11:00 AM, our clients return to the center, conveniently located just a block away from the beach, for engaging group therapy sessions. These collaborative discussions provide a safe space for individuals to share their experiences, support one another, and foster meaningful connections.

Led by our skilled therapists, these sessions are designed to encourage open dialogue, promote healing, and facilitate personal growth within a nurturing community.

12 pm

Lunch

At 12:00 PM, our clients take a well-deserved break for lunch, savoring the flavors of La Jolla at some of the area’s finest local restaurants. This time not only nourishes the body but also offers an opportunity to bond with fellow clients and staff in a relaxed setting.

Enjoying delicious meals in the heart of this beautiful coastal community enhances the overall experience, fostering connection and a sense of belonging as we continue on the path to recovery.

Primary therapist meeting

At 1:00 PM, our clients have the opportunity to engage in a personalized one-on-one session with their primary therapist. This dedicated time is focused on exploring and addressing individual mental health and substance-related challenges.

Our compassionate therapists provide a tailored approach, offering guidance, support, and effective strategies to help clients navigate their unique journeys. These intimate sessions are designed to foster self-discovery, build resilience, and encourage personal growth in a supportive and confidential environment.

2 pm

Hot Yoga and Ice Bath Session

At 2:00 PM, our clients have the opportunity to engage in a rejuvenating wellness activity, choosing from a variety of options including hot yoga, invigorating cold plunges, or an introspective session in our sacred sweat lodge.

Each of these activities is designed to promote physical and mental well-being, encouraging relaxation, detoxification, and mindfulness. Whether it’s the calming warmth of yoga, the refreshing chill of cold plunges, or the spiritual embrace of the sweat lodge, clients can select the experience that resonates with them on their path to healing and self-discovery.

Relax

At 3:00 PM, clients are invited to unwind and take a moment for themselves. This is a dedicated time to relax and attend to any personal business they may have, allowing for a peaceful pause in their day.

Whether it’s enjoying a quiet moment, making a phone call, or simply reflecting, these next couple hours provides the perfect opportunity to nurture both personal needs and well-being in a serene environment.

7 pm

Recovery Meeting

At 7:00 PM, we provide our clients with the opportunity to participate in recovery meetings within the local community. These gatherings are designed to help clients integrate into the recovery network while fostering connections with others who share similar journeys.

During this time, clients are encouraged to seek out mentors and sponsors, reinforcing the importance of community support in their recovery process. Joining these meetings offers a valuable chance to build relationships, share experiences, and cultivate a strong foundation for lasting wellness.
