PHP Program

Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP)

A Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) is a structured, intensive form of outpatient treatment that provides many of the same therapies and services as inpatient care while allowing clients to return home in the evenings. PHP is often the next step after detox or inpatient treatment, offering a high level of support during the early stages of recovery while providing more independence than residential care.

At WindanSea Recovery, our PHP blends evidence-based therapy, holistic practices, and individualized care to help clients build confidence and stability as they transition into daily life.

Purpose and Benefits of PHP Program

PHP strikes the balance between structure and flexibility. Benefits include:

  • Daily therapeutic support without 24/7 residential stay.

  • Smooth step-down from inpatient treatment.

  • Intensive focus on recovery skills, relapse prevention, and mental health.

  • Continued accountability and structure while practicing independence.

  • Flexible scheduling to accommodate work, school, or family responsibilities.

How PHP Program Works

Our PHP is carefully structured to provide consistency, accountability, and progress:

  1. Assessment & Planning: Each client receives a personalized treatment plan tailored to their needs.

  2. Daily Programming: Clients attend treatment sessions five days a week for several hours each day.

  3. Therapeutic Focus: Days include a mix of group therapy, individual counseling, and holistic practices.

  4. Accountability & Support: Clients maintain daily contact with our clinical team and recovery peers.

  5. Step-Down Preparation: As clients progress, they transition to IOP or outpatient care for ongoing support.

PHP is ideal for individuals who:

  • Have completed detox or inpatient treatment but need ongoing intensive care.

  • Require a structured program but do not need 24/7 supervision.

  • Are at risk of relapse without daily accountability.

At Windansea Recovery, we believe that sustainable healing from addiction requires addressing the whole person—not just the substance use disorder itself. A holistic approach to addiction treatment recognizes that true recovery encompasses physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual well-being. While evidence-based therapies like CBT and medication-assisted treatment form the foundation of effective care, complementary, holistic practices can significantly enhance outcomes and provide individuals with a more comprehensive healing experience.

Depression affects millions of Americans each year, yet many people suffering from this condition don’t receive the support they need. Symptoms may develop gradually, and many people struggling with depression become adept at hiding their pain from others.
